CANADA

We are pleased to announce the return of a Canada-focused day during European Cyber Week 2025, once again highlighting the strong relationship of trust and cooperation between France and Canada. This collaboration, strengthened by the partnership signed between the Pôle d’Excellence Cyber and IN-SEC-M during the 2023 edition, continues to stand as a strategic pillar for both ecosystems.
Overall coordination: VP International and NeverHack

Research Collaboration

Part of the day will focus on scientific exchanges between researchers and academic institutions from both countries. This is a valuable opportunity to showcase ongoing work, identify new areas of cooperation, and strengthen ties between both Canadian and French research communities. The program will include conferences, cross-presentations, and roundtables to foster innovation and broaden perspectives in the field of cybersecurity.
Lead: David Espès (University of Brest)

Technical Exchanges with IN-SEC-M

Another part will provide a deeper dive into the technical aspect, organized in collaboration with IN-SEC-M.
This year, the highlights will be on high-level experts sharing cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence, quantum cybersecurity, and security operations (SOC). These sessions will help deepen the exchange of technological knowledge, with the common goal of fostering concrete and innovative solutions.

Both themes—academic research and technological expertise—will be promoted in a cross-cutting manner through our various partners, encouraging an integrated and collaborative approach to cybersecurity.

As in previous years, the Embassy of Canada in Paris is supporting this initiative, reaffirming the importance of this strategic partnership. Their presence reflects the shared commitment to strengthening diplomatic, economic, and scientific ties between France and Canada, and to making this day a key highlight of ECW 2025.

This session is also organized in partnership with regional actors such as BCI, Le Poool, Rennes Métropole, and the Universities of Rennes and Quebec.
