THE MANIPULATION OF INFORMATION

The ECW 25 PEC-LMI session will be coordinated by the think tank “PEGASE Circle” with two separate panel discussions:

The first one led by PEGASE on the theme: "cybercrime, financial manipulation from cyberspace and influence, realities of the threat and perspectives". It will answer two major questions:

- Can the modus operandi of influence be instrumentalized to destabilize the banking system and financial markets?
- Can these same influence techniques be used by criminal organizations to create scams and fraud, relying in particular on the cognitive biases of the victims?

The second, led by Airbus, on the theme "Combating information manipulation: tools and strategies", will provide an opportunity to take stock of the modes of action offered by technology to deal with the different forms of informational threat as well as the main prospects and breakthroughs expected in this field in the short or medium term.
